Oh wow! I remember these! Too cool for school!

Holy cow, nostalgia alert. I had one too. My tennis racket wasn't red, I think it was yellow or orange, and it had a little tennis ball stuck to it. I also had the baby bottle, toothpaste, and camera (in orange). God, I kind of want to play with it now. I wonder if I still have any of those charms at my parents' house.

Ahhh!!! I loved mine! I was a little on the young side though, I took the charms off too often and kept losing them.

Colormesticky, we must have had similar ones because I remember those charms specifically...especially the tennis racket and baby bottle, oh and I loved me some plastic lipstick too!

Yes, I had one! My brother had one to it was fun to steal his charms and hope he didn't notice. Usually he did!

Yes! I may even still have mine somewhere. I used to trade those with the neighbor kids. I had some of the charms that are pictured and I even had a toilet charm!! I can't think of where I got that necklace either. I just remember that all the girls in the neighborhood had them. .

I totally remember these! Mine had the red chain. In fact....I actually still have mine, tucked deep down in a box with other sentimental items from my past, LOL! I'll have to go dig it out and take photos. What a memory trip that will be!!

I totally had one too! I was living in Panama and my grandmother sent it to me with a bunch of charms saying that it was the cool new thing in the States! I think I was one of the only ones that had it! Cool.

Still have mine. It is in my jewelry amoire with all my nice stuff. I just kinda never threw it out and now i am glad i still have it

OMG! had one - loved it! soooooo cheap and flimsy... but it was a MUST HAVE accessory to your jelly shoes and bag.

Yes I had one and loved it, I think I got the charms out of gumball machines and at places like, fun factory, you know where you play games and get tickets and get cheapy toys, and basically crap.

Claire's had these about 2 years ago... They were feturing one necklace with about 8 charms attache dwith no option to buy additional charms separately. I bought one for each of my girls and also noticed they the same item was being sold as "vintage" and nostalgic" on eBay for 3x the cost!!! Gotta love the 80s!!!

OMG! I was JUST thinking about these the other day! I remember everyone HAD to have the baby bottle! We used to go to the grocery store and BEG my dad for a quarter to get one of these charms from the "gumball" machine! He always gave us a quarter and never said a word! I miss being a kid!!

I so had two of those and wore them to school every day in kindergarten.

Ok, I joined this group, just so I could comment on this post! Look at my avatar. I looooooove charm necklaces. I have 3 of them, full of charms. I had one when I was a kid, it was a pink necklace. I had tons of charms, but I was careless and lost a lot of them, or gave them away. I still have several of them from my childhood. I buy them on Ebay all the time. I have tons of them. And I had the toilet too, when I was a kid. Mine was purple and white. But I lost it, I just recently got a new toilet charm on Ebay. But it's blue and white. I can remember taking apart my baby bottle charm and breaking off the little round circle on the side, so I could use it for a baby bottle for a doll. Then I completely ruined it by mixing up eyeshadow with water and putting that in the bottle!! What was I thinking????!! That was one of my favorite charms. I just recently replaced it too. It had a pink top with a white tip. It felt so good to get that same charm back! So, does anyone remember the totally awesome abaccus charms? The ones with the rainbow beads that slide back and fourth?? MY FAVORITE FAVORITE ONE!! I have 3 so far. Red one, purple one and a pink one. I'd love to chat with anyone that remembers these necklaces and liked them as much I do! Message me any time!

I too joined to comment on this. I have been looking for someone else to remember these too. My parents would give us charms in our advent calendar at Christmastime. I've been trying to set up a nostalgic Christmas for my sister. I've gotten the Babes In Toyland movie with Keanu Reeves (her favorite growing up), the Strawberry Shortcake fabric ornaments, but I've been looking and looking for the charms. Candy Cupcakes you said you find them on ebay. What do you search for?

I have those! I found mine in storage at my mom's house. 2 necklaces and a bracelet. I counted the charms and I have 108 charms. Not including the charms that are in storage somewhere and some that I just threw out because they broke. I was going to throw all of them out, not sure what to do with them other than leaving them in a bag. My husband said to hold onto them for the memories, lol!
