From Wikipedia:
The Strawberry Shortcake line of characters each had their own fruity or dessert-themed name with clothing to match, and they each had a dessert- or fruit-named pet. Like the Strawberry Shortcake doll, all the other characters' dolls had hair scented to match their dessert theme. The characters lived and played in a magical world known as Strawberryland.
During the 1980s, Strawberry Shortcake became a huge fad. At the time, there were several related products, such as sticker albums, clothes, a videogame for the Atari 2600, and several other products. Several TV specials were made featuring the characters, one each year between 1980 and 1985.

1awww i loved strawberry shortcake - i didn't have any dolls, but i definitely had stickers and at least a colouring book or two!
2I loved Strawberry Shortcake but im not a fan of the new ones...they look radically different!
3CUTE!!!
4I had the sheets, but I don't really remember having any of the dolls. I never realized there were so many! I haven't seen the new ones, but thee old ones are adorable!
5OMG! I loved her so much. I had that lunchbox on the left. My first bike was strawberry shortcake. It was pink and red and had a white basket with strawberries on it.
Style Before Comfort!
6The originals are SO MUCH BETTER than the new Strawberry Shortcake. I want to know where we can find the old Strawberry Shortcake movies, they were great!
7I remember my grandmother gave me Orange Marmalade to complete my collection when I was in the hospital getting my tonsils out as a child!
My favorite two were Blueberry Muffin and Apple Dumplin'!
My sister had the Stawberry Shortcake house. Good times!
8I had Strawberry Shortcake and the Purple Pie Man (Ratatatatata Tah). Now my daughter watches the DVDs
9this reminds me of the good 'ol days!!!
10I had the original strawberry shortcake and her cat, I got it one christmas when I was young, I kept her for years, I had the colouring books and stickers.
For a little doll she smelt great. As I was not a fan of dolls this was my exception.
The modern version can never replace the original- thats how I feel!
and bring on the 80's treasures!

11My favorite! I remember getting one for my birthday. I remember holding up my doll when that Beatles song 'Strawberry Fields' came on in that their movie; excited b/c they said strawberry.
12For me I didn't get too into the strawberry shortcake when I was little. She is making a big comeback now though!
13I actually saw a SS doll in the store this week. They do have some that have dresses on. I thought it was all jeans now too, but I was mistaken. I can't wait to buy these for my little girl.
14Awesome post! thanx for the great memories!
15Loved to just smell them.....
I can smell these dolls just looking at the pictures. I especially loved the one Strawberry Shortcake cartoon that came out during the 80's. It was before VCR's, dvd players and Cartoon Network so that was a sacred showing.
16Awesome pics! Brought back memories of my childhood.

17I never really got into Strawberry Shortcake but I had a bedspread. My favorite I would have to say was the villian, Purple Pie Man. I mean, he was so pathetic cause all he did was go into the village and try to steal baked goods and then he would get caught and have a "talking" to about how he was not suppose to do that. LOL>
